The city of Morro Bay has been given until the end of April, 2026 to act. Now is the to come together and support the city in this acquisition. Together, we can collaborate on an exciting vision that benefits our community for years to come. Let’s ensure this valuable space serves a purpose that enriches the lives of all residents!

MOVING FORWARD! - SLCUSD has accepted the City of Morro Bay’s offer for the purchase of Morro Elementary. City Council will officially present the standings at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, 6:00 pm at the Vet’s Hall.​
We will now enter into a six-month escrow period for due diligence.

For decades Morro Bay community members have utilized the sport fields and playground at the Morro Elementary site. Losing the Morro Elementary fields would result in children and adults losing fields to host their games and tournaments.
