Friends of Morro Elementary

Join us in advocating for the future of the Historical Morro Elementary site! SLCUSD has deemed the property a surplus property selling the property appraised at 10.2M. The city of Morro Bay has been given  until the end of April, 2026 to act. Now is the to come together and support the city in this acquisition. Together, we can collaborate on an exciting vision that benefits our community for years to come. Let’s ensure this valuable space serves a purpose that enriches the lives of all residents!

For decades Morro Bay community members have utilized the sport fields and playground at the Morro Elementary site. Losing the Morro Elementary fields would result in children and adults losing fields to host their games and tournaments.
